CYNTHIA JONES WINS 2008 CHUCK NILES JAZZ SINGER AWARD!

Cynthia Jones has been crowned the winner of the prestigious 2008 Chuck Niles Jazz Singer competition at the Temecula International Jazz Festival. The late Chuck Niles spun jazz on American radio for more than 50 years and was known in the music world as the voice of jazz in Los Angeles. The widely beloved disc jockey, was a big fan of jazz singers, bebop and straight-ahead jazz. Chuck's wife Nancy, and daughter Tracy selected Cynthia Jones as this year’s winner. "This is the Chuck Niles award, so we try to keep in mind who my father would have chosen," said Tracy. He would have loved the singing of Cynthia Jones.

I received my copies of the Japanese release yesterday. It's pretty cool to think that my CD is actually in stores in Japan and troughout the Pacific Rim as of March 18th. Did I hear someone say tour?

GREAT NEWS: I JUST SIGNED CONTRACT WITH A JAPANESE RECORD COMPANY AND MY CD WILL BE MANUFACTURED AND DISTRIBUTED IN JAPAN WITH JAPANESE LINER NOTES. PRETTY COOL HUH?
